We leave Reykjavík at 13:00 and drive to Deildartunguhver, where we meet our guide and the rest of the group. From there we continue on towards the waterfalls of Barnafoss and Hraunfossar and then we head over the highland pass of Kaldidalur. In Þingvellir National Park we meet and join the Golden Circle Evening tour.
The Icelandic parliament, Alþingi, was established in Þingvellir the year 930 AD. The area was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in August 2004. We continue to the beautiful Gullfoss waterfall in the golden rays of the setting sun. From there we visit the geothermal area around the incredible spouting geysers of Geysir and Strokkur, echoing into the peaceful evening glow.
